Now In Guilt Free Flavor
Bali’s first self-serve frozen yogurt joint. Eat your heart out.
Can an accidental fermentation of milk that occurred in 6000 B.C. be a delicious dessert? In ancient India the combination of yogurt and honey was called “the food of gods”, and in Persian Empire they believed “Abraham owed his longevity to regular ingestion of yogurt.” Also, it is believed Genghis Khan’s army lived on a yogurt ration. The origin of Yogurt is still an issue of debate. Some trace back to the Middle East and Persian Empire while others point it to Central Asia as its starting route. However, one thing that everybody is certain is that Yogurt was considered an extraordinary food.
Yogurt comes from the Turkish word “Yogurmak” meaning to thicken. It was introduced to the United States in the 1700’s, but it was not until the 1970’s that traditional yogurt was made into frozen yogurt. In 2014 we brought this exciting dessert to Bali, Indonesia. Yogurt is a milk by-product that contains an abundance of live cultures and probiotics. These live cultures make it easy for lactose intolerant people to digest it more easily than other milk products. Our frozen yogurts carry all the cultures and probiotics of traditional non-fat yogurt enriched with a variety of flavors. To top it off it’s self-serve. You can choose your portion size, flavors, and toppings. You don’t have to forfeit your happiness for your health!
